Sarah is a Certified Cicerone® and jill-of-all-trades living and drinking in Lincoln, Nebraska. After receiving her B.S. in community development in her home state of Pennsylvania, she moved to the Midwest and spent her early career as a dedicated generalist, doing a little of this and a little of that. Once she turned her craft beer appreciation into professional work in the industry, however, she dove deep into her studies to become a Certified Cicerone®.
Her best moments as a craft beer professional have included creating Lincoln’s first beer and chocolate pairing with a local chocolatier, now a Valentine’s Day staple event around the city, and filling the best beer bar in town to the rafters with women drinkers for an inaugural women-focused event during Lincoln Beer Week. No longer behind the bar, Sarah now makes her recommendations and pushes her opinions from behind a keyboard.
Sarah first fell in love with beer via Imperial Stouts (sans pastry), and now usually has a range of IPAs (sans milkshake) in the fridge. She’ll tell anyone who asks that the very best beer to drink is the one you enjoy. There’s so much beer in the world, there’s no sense drinking what you don’t like, no matter how popular it is. Just pour it into a glass first, okay?
