Beer is for Everyone’s Pride Night celebrates the queer community who historically and presently are facing unjust discrimination and marginalization. The event, which will take place on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, from 5-10 pm at Fait la Force Brewing, will feature a variety of beers from local and national breweries, music, and opportunities to engage with community organizations working to combat anti-trans and anti-queer legislation and rhetoric in Nashville and beyond.
The craft beer community has a long history of supporting social justice causes. We are proud to partner with breweries, businesses, and other non-profit organizations to create an event celebrating the LGBTQIAA2S+ community and supporting the fight for equality. We hope to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can feel safe and celebrated by coming together for an evening of good beer and good company.
At Beer is for Everyone’s Pride Night, we will feature a selection of beers from Fait la Force Brewing, as well as some of the best local and national breweries that have so generously offered to donate their brews. We’ll also have food trucks to provide delicious snacks and meals throughout the evening. Whether you prefer a light and refreshing IPA or a bold and complex stout, we’ll have something for everyone!
But Pride Night is more than just a celebration of beer. It’s also a celebration of the queer community and a chance to stand in solidarity with those who continue to be marginalized and oppressed. Through our partnership with the TN Pride Chamber, we hope to raise awareness and funds for the ongoing fight for LGBTQIAA2S+ rights in Tennessee and around the nation.
As a queer-founded and -run organization, we recognize that the LGBTQIAA2S+ community faces unique challenges, particularly in the face of recent anti-trans and anti-queer legislation and rhetoric. At Pride Night, we aim to create a safe and inclusive space where all people can come together to celebrate their identities and show their support for the LGBTQIAA2S+ community. We want to honor the struggles that our community faces while also showcasing its strength, resilience, and resistance.
The fight for LGBTQIAA+ rights is ongoing, and unfortunately, recent events in Tennessee have shown that the fight is far from over. Tennessee has been at the forefront of a wave of anti-trans legislation that seeks to limit the rights of trans people, particularly trans youth. This legislation includes bills that would prohibit trans girls from participating in girls’ sports and would prevent trans youth from receiving gender-affirming medical care. We stand in solidarity with the trans community and are committed to supporting organizations fighting against these harmful legislations. We believe that everyone deserves to live freely and authentically, and we will continue to advocate for the rights and dignity of all people.
We’ll have music, vendors, raffles, and prize giveaways throughout the evening. We’ll also have opportunities to engage with local community organizations, learn more about their work, and find ways to get involved in the fight for LGBTQIAA2S+ rights.
