On July 13th, we will be introducing our Pink Grapefruit Hibiscus Imperial Saison, a beer we’ve made to contribute to Drinking in Another State, a beer initiative that stands by the belief that all beer drinkers deserve the right to make choices about their beer - and their bodies. Beer is for everyone, and everyone deserves the right to make decisions about their own body and exercise their own privacy. We are a brewery that has always supported our community, and firmly believe that craft beer is a place where everyone feels safe, secure, and welcome. All profits from each draft pour of Drinking in Another State will go toward supporting the BIFE Emergency Health Fund, which supports our craft beer community in states who may not have the ability and access that we may be so fortunate to have. Our beer, our body, our choice. -The Czig Team.

Drinking in Another State - The Meaning Behind the Drinking in Another State - The Meaning Behind the Artwork

So, you might have seen our newest collaboration project. But, we wanted to take a moment to detail the meaning behind the artwork.

Based on the meme that we created, Drinking in Another State, we wanted to integrate the wording into a bold but subtle design.

We chose the main imagery of the Black-Eyed Susan flower, as it is the symbol of justice. It is the symbol of "encouragement to stay on a path of wellbeing and pursue what is best for the person". You and you alone should have autonomy over your body. You should decide what is best for you.

We chose the color blue because it represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice. We will not let the SCOTUS' decision destroy the very fabric of human rights. We will continue the fight for change. We will persevere in our pursuit of vigilance and justice.

Lastly, we have hidden "410 U.S. 113" within the artwork, as a direct homage to the landmark decision of Roe v. Wade, which has unfortunately now been overturned.

The hops are just because we love beer!

We approached Jen at @hootdesignstudio, and she graciously gave us a discounted rate for the art! We are so thankful that she was able to turn our vision into a reality! Isn't it absolutely wonderful?

We appreciate all of those who have signed up to participate in this collaboration project. Please continue to share and spread awareness for this issue that affects all of us! Learn more on our website and previous (pinned) post!

The raid sparked a riot, which led to a six-day protest. This historic event was a catalyst in the Gay Rights Movement, and a major moment leading to the creation of what we know as Pride.

53 years later, on the anniversary of The Stonewall Riots, we examine the intersections of LGBTQIAA2S+ liberation and beer.

How’s everyone doing after all of everything tha How’s everyone doing after all of everything that’s happened this past week?

Let yourselves feel what is meant to be felt. The rage. The distress. The sadness. Then, turn it into radical activism. We have the power to enact change - to demand it. So, get out there: Protest, Vote, Donate, Volunteer, Shout!

Here’s a pretty capture of our 2022 edition of Love is Love & Beer is for Everyone 🌈 because we need something beautiful right now.
